The "Tote"ally Cute Bag Class
Create a stylish, practical tote bag while learning sewing techniques you’ll use again and again! In this fun, hands-on class, you’ll make a fully finished tote bag and discover the “bagging out” technique, which neatly conceals all raw edges for a clean, professional-looking finish—no exposed seams required.
You’ll also learn how to insert sturdy straps and create a square, flat bottom that gives your tote shape and stability. Best of all, you can choose fabrics that reflect your personal style, making your tote uniquely yours.
This is a fun and approachable project that’s both useful and rewarding. Once you see how easy and versatile this tote is, you’ll want to make many, many more!
Materials Required:1/2 yard of fabric for outer bag and straps
1/2 yard of fabric for the bag lining
Coordinating thread
Your own sewing machine (or you can use one of our classroom machines-please let us know if you need one)
Basic sewing kit-scissors, pins, etc.
