First Steps Class

First Steps is for a sewist who is ready to tackle quilting. You've used a sewing machine before but want to advance your skills. While making a throw pillow, you will learn how to make a traditional block, use a rotary cutter with rulers, sew a standard 1/4 inch seam, and proper pressing technique.

Bring your own sewing machine. It's best to learn on the machine that you will use most often. If you don't own a machine, please let us know in the notes at checkout that you will need one provided.

Materials Required: 4-5 fat quarters

The Intro to Quilting Series can be taken in any order. Take one or take them all. They are skill building classes that can be for a beginner or someone wanting to improve their technique.

Quilt 101: First Steps
